About Worcester Park
Worcester Park is south-east of Kingston, where the boroughs of Kingston, Sutton and Merton meet. Central Road is the main shopping street, running down from the station towards the A24 London Road. Around it, the roads of 1930s houses stretch west towards Old Malden and Malden Road (the A2043), and south towards Cuddington and North Cheam.
Airport journeys from KT4
Worcester Park has good access to both of the big London airports:
| Destination | Typical time from Worcester Park |
|---|---|
| Heathrow | 40 to 55 minutes |
| Gatwick | 40 to 55 minutes |
| Stansted | 80 to 105 minutes |
| London City | 65 to 85 minutes |
These are typical estimates. Peak-hour traffic on the A3 and M25 can add time.
For Gatwick, your driver will usually head south towards Ewell and join the M25 at Junction 9 or 8. For Heathrow, the route goes back through Kingston and over Kingston Bridge, or via the A3 and M25.
Worcester Park station
The station is on the South Western Railway line between Waterloo and Chessington, via Raynes Park. Many residents commute by train. We step in for the journeys the train does not suit: early flights, late nights, strikes, and trips with suitcases or children. If you are arriving at the station with heavy bags, we can meet you there.
Popular local journeys
- To St Helier Hospital and Kingston Hospital for appointments
- Into Kingston, Sutton or Wimbledon for shopping and evenings out
- To Nonsuch Park and the surrounding green spaces for family days out
- Regular term-time journeys with our school run taxi
- Family airport runs in a 6 seater taxi
Planning a group trip
For larger groups, such as a family flying out together or friends heading to a wedding, one 7 or 8 seater usually makes more sense than two smaller cars. Tell us how many people and how much luggage, and we will suggest the right vehicle.
Between three boroughs
Because Worcester Park sits across the boundaries of Kingston, Sutton and Merton, people sometimes are not sure which local services cover them. We do not mind which borough you are in. We pick up across the whole area, from the houses near Cuddington Recreation Ground to the roads off Green Lane and the streets towards Stoneleigh.
Shopping and the high street
Central Road has a good range of independent shops, cafés and restaurants, and is busy on Saturdays. If you are visiting the high street with heavy shopping, or for an evening meal, we can drop you off and collect you later. For bigger shops, we can also take you to the supermarkets and retail parks nearby.
Getting to Epsom and Sutton
Worcester Park is a short drive from Epsom and Sutton town centres, and we often take people to both for shopping, appointments and nights out. Epsom Downs, with its racecourse, is also within easy reach for race days and the Derby in early summer.
Areas around Worcester Park
We also pick up in New Malden to the north-west, Chessington to the south-west, Old Malden and North Cheam. See the full list on our areas we cover page.
